Scenes from Aleppo: The Ruins of the Dar al-Shifa Hospital.
Destroyed by a Syrian Air Force attack in late November, the last of several against the building and its patients and medical staff. With the hospital closed, medical care has been pushed largely out of sight. (One of the local emergency rooms, for example, is now a series of kiosks in a retail storefront, the location of which the medical staff has asked not to disclose.)  There are few hospital beds left in all of rebel-held Aleppo.
More, in the NYT’s account of living conditions for civilians in Aleppo, a city disintegrating under the forces of civil war.
